Echoes of Scotland Street by Samantha Young

Echoes of Scotland Street
This is Cole's story.

Shannon MacLeod sure knows how to pick them. Her boyfriends have all been trash. She had a cheater, a stealer, an abusive douchebag. She has sworn never to fall for a bad boy again. Moving away from her latest ordeal has her finding a job in the famous tattoo studio INKarnate. She never thought she was going to have a problem until she meets Cole. Cole has bad boy written all over him.

Cole Walker is looking for the right girl to settle down with. Everyone who's important to him, who feels like family is happy and settled down. He wants that too. It doesn't matter that on the exterior he is confident, attractive and smart, he doesn't want to get hurt like his mother hurt him ....Ever.

He knows he can find the One and that it's possible since he's surrounded with great women examples.

When he meets Shannon he thinks he finally found her but convincing Shannon that she can trust him may be impossible, but he's willing to try.

I love Cole from prior books and I was looking forward to reading his book. I can honestly say that I love him more. He was such a nice guy, a great friend and so patient with Shannon, just what she needed.

"There's more to you than cute. People call you cute because you're petite.but you're sexy too..Mostly you're beautiful in a way that stops a man in his tracks."

Shannon had made bad decisions and I know it was hard to open up to Cole so I wasn't upset it took her a while. I thought it was just the right amount of time. She was insecure and was terrified about making a new mistake. Her family didn't help except for Logan who I'm hoping is the next guy in this series.

My heart felt happy reading how the rest of the gang was doing, how life has progressed for them and how happy they still are. They were dearly protective of Cole but they were there to help Shannon too.

" Jesus, women." Cole suddenly appeared, pushing past his sister and Hannah to get to me. "The four of you look like a pack of hyenas crowding baby Simba"

Shannon also had great support from Rae and Simon demonstrating that sometimes friends can be a better family than blood.
