Dominic by L.A. Casey
Slater Brothers #1

Dominic

Bronagh Murphy lost her parents and after the accident, she has decided not to let anyone into her heart besides her sister Branna. She loves her older sister dearly and nothing will change that.

Everyone at school knows to stay away from Bronagh. Or I should say almost, there is a classmate that bothers her all the time, more like bullying but he is absent right now. To her dismay, a couple of new students have joined her class. The Slater brothers. There is Dominic and Damien.

Dominic is an American. He and his four brothers moved to Ireland for business. A business that Dominic is part of in his own way. (If you can't guess what it is, the cover may help you).

Bronagh hates Dominic from the first moment she sees him but he also triggers feelings that she thought she was immune to. The more he bullies her and the more she retaliates the more they come closer. One thing leads to another and then the passion ignites.

This book came with a HUGE warning from the author. There is cursing, violence, aggression, bullying.

What the author forgot to say it's that you may want your own Slater bro after reading it. There are also tons of great banter and LOL moments.

The last part of the book reveals all their secrets and some of them I was not expecting.

In regards to the characters:

Let's start with Bronagh. She is a tough cookie. She loves her sister but she is terrified of losing anyone else in his life. She is a fighter and will throw a punch without regret.

Dominic is arrogant, immature at times but very mature in others. He is loyal to his brothers and once he gives up bullying Bronagh he falls HARD for her.

The other brothers, Alec, Ryder, Damien and Kane are a huge interesting lot and I can't wait to read their own stories.

If I have to make one comment it would be that Dominic and Bronagh's physical fighting was repetitive at times. I usually don't like books with any physical fighting between the HEA but Dominic worked for me.

Favorite Quotes:

“You are the one with the cut eyebrow and busted up face, you need the ice more than I do, princess."
Dominic's brothers snorted. "I like her," Ryder said. "
I like her more and more each time she insults him," Damien chuckled.
"Fuck you both," Dominic grinned as he continued to move towards me.”

"Are you Damien?" I asked curiously, my left eyebrow raised. Dominic just looked at me for a long moment before he shook his head.
"Are you serious? Can you not tell the differences between us?"
"Sure I can; your hair colour is different, you have dimples when you smile, and he doesn't; he is right-handed, and you are left. He is nice, and you aren't. That's why I'm askin' if you're him because you've been awfully nice to me these last twenty minutes, got your face smashed in and all."

"Dominic's reply was a chuckle as he hoisted me into his arms and carried me off somewhere. My last coherent thought before everything went black was that Dominic was going to cut me and my sister up into little pieces, and his brothers would help.
Except Damien, because he was nice."

"I can't promise you I won't die because no one knows when that boat comes for them, but I'm not letting you out of this because you're afraid of death. Death is a part of life, babe, everyone and thing dies at some point. I just want you around me until that day comes."

"A fucking plus, baby girl. A fucking plus."

"I live you, pretty girl." I pulled back and stared at him.
"You live me?" I questioned. He had his eyes closed and was drifting off, so I shook him. "You live me? You said the word live, Dominic," I repeated when he blinked his eyes open. He nodded and lazily smiled again. God, he was so gorgeous.
"I more than like you but don't feel near love yet, so I put the word love and like together and got live so I live you. I'm in live with you, pretty girl."
